Our History - Where we've been

On August 7, 2005, 17 people gathered in a living room to plan a dream called Common Ground Church. Common Ground Church, a church plant from LifeChurch.tv, began as a vision to be a church that would CONNECT people UPWARD, OUTWARD AND INWARD.

Meeting in homes following the initial month of gathering, the church grew to almost 40 people. On September 18th, 82 people attended a preview experience to introduce the church to its first opportunity for massive growth.

Weekly worship experiences began the first week of that next October at McAuliffe Elementary School. While at that location, CG grew to about 150 people. Then a door opened in January 2007 to move to Thoreau Demonstration Academy. Over the next two years, Common Ground Church grew to over 600 people and lives have been touched by God every single week.

As of June 2010, we moved into the old Fontana 6 Movie Theater-located on the north side of the Fontana shopping center at the corner of 51st and Memorial.  Our services times are 9:30am and 11:00am- we look forward to seeing you there.
