Weekend Review
from the pastor Written by Tom Dillingham Monday, 17 November 2008 This weekend was a great one at CommonGround. Let me give you some of the highlights.
1. On Saturday, CG Crew (a volunteer group in the church who do projects for people) went to a single mom's house and painted, repaired sheetrock and did lawn work. One of the the guys went and got his company's dump truck and we hauled off a whole load of leaves and limbs from her yard. Way to go CG CREW!!!!!
2. Sunday I spoke on financial miracles and had quite a few people come down for prayer. God can do anything and financial miracles are some of that anything. If you need a new or better job, we are praying for you to get it.
3. One of the miracles that I am praying for us for is to act like we have sense when it comes to money. Don't spend what you don't have. Don't buy what you can't afford. Don't blow what God has given you.
4. Once again people gave their life to Christ at CG!!!! Don't quit inviting people, God is doing great things in peoples lives.
5. We were up 80% in attendance from where we were a year ago.
6. My fantasy football team is winning, but the guy I am playing has 2 players left tonight. If I win I will probably make the playoffs.
7. It is only Monday, but I am already excited about the OU/texas tech game this Saturday.
8. Our women are doing a great job of ministry. They have things going on like crazy. Come on guys we can't let them leave us in the dust.
